Sequoise Burns Givens, was born in Killeen Texas and raised in Carthage Texas. She has been in the nursing profession for over 23 years. She has worked as a LVN for 9 years, RN for 9 years, and Nurse practitioner for 5 years with the last 3 years as the CEO and founder of Above Average Health and House Calls which made history as being the first medical clinic to be owned and operated by a nurse practitioner in Panola county. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems. She is has over 15 years of experience providing quality health care services in the home.

 

Her specialty is providing above average healthcare that is reliable and affordable.  She is also the CEO of Above average labs and more, author of the book No colored nurses, co-owner of an online store that she owns with her 11 year daughter. Shayla Os Ohhh so relaxing self-care products. Sequoise also is the the co-founder of the Nurse Recharge summit, and an on-line course NP to HNIC (head nurse in charge). She is an empowerment/mindset coach, motivational speaker, and community leader. She is also the creator of an online boot camp that helps overworked and underpaid nurse moms go from wearing a badge to being a boss. Her purpose for her life is to help tired and burnt out nurse moms rekindle their light and start to live the life they are destined to live and be the role models our daughters deserve
